Forget trying to run away – this sophisticated humanoid contraption can now bound up and over obstacles. Boston Dynamics is certainly no stranger to developing robots with impressively life-like abilities and this latest version of its popular bipedal Atlas robot is no exception.Looking disturbingly like something dreamt up by Skynet, the two-legged automaton, which was already adept at walking, running and climbing up stairs, has now learned how to do parkour as well.
In a recent video, the robot can be seen jumping over a log and bounding up a series of platforms.
While certainly impressive from a technical perspective, it is rather worrying to imagine just how capable this robot is going to get if the firm continues to update it over the next few years.
